Superb cleaner! Reviews Panasonic MC-CG902 Full Size Bag Canister Vacuum Cleaner with HEPA Filter

This Panasonic MC-CG902 Full Size Bag Canister was a bigger vacuum than I thought. I wanted something a bit smaller. However, it has proved that it does a nice job on carpets and bare floors. It works great cleaning out the lint bin in my dryer and overhead fans.

Review or Purchase Panasonic MC-CG902 - Canister Vacuum with HEPA Filter

Literally, it was almost as if the vacuum was sucking the carpet up off the floor but in a good, clean way. Everyone had been tracking in salt from outside due to the weather and it was no match for this vacuum. The canister is not too big or bulky either.
  • Powerful 12AMP motor system which includes a Motor Protection System that bypazsses the motor and fan and directs the dirt right into the bag
  • Quick Drow Tools on-board for easy access the includes: 2 Standard Wands, Crevice Tool, Dusting Brush and a bonus feature "Air Turbine", Headlight
  • 15" Cleaning Path, 24 Foot Cord length with Automatic Cord Reel, 12.5 Foot Attachment reach, Automatic Carpet Height Adjustment for proper setting for any carpet type.
  • Dual Active Edge Cleaning, HEPA Filter System to capture small particles such as allergens, irritants and pollutants
  • Measures 15" (W) x 12.5" (L) x 44.5" (H), 17.6 lbs, Pepper Red finish
I bought this Panasonic MC-CG902 Full Size vacuum after hours of research online deciding between Dyson vs. Electrolux vs. Miele... then this one. I have other Panasonic items such as an iron, a cordless telephone, which have also served me well. There are many choices in the market, but have chosen to stay with Panasonic because of its reliability.

Panasonic MC-CG902 Canister Vacuum Pros:
  • Off/floor/carpet slide switch is on the top of the handle - super convenient to run from rugs to bare floor and back.
  • Good suction - picks up small rocks.
  • The power head is low profile - gets under the toe kicks and sofa.
  • The long cord reaches several rooms, rewinds.
  • The extra floor attachment is ~9" and so gets into the nooks and crannies the powerhead won't.
  • The wand / powerhead clip on the unit when upright so it stores compactly in the closet.
  • Powerhead is light, a breeze to whip around the room, but see handle con.
Panasonic MC-CG902 Canister Vacuum Cons:
  • The carpet height indicator is hard to see in anything but bright light.
  • The handle rotates freely 90d ccw, which is good for getting under the sofa if you're right-handed,
  • Tool & bag lids are hard plastic, meaning you'll have to be reasonably gentle with them.
  • The extra attachments, excepting the one for the floor just slide on, rather than clip.
  • the headlight goes off in the floor mode.
  • The powerhead doesn't get up the dust film on hard flooring when the brush is off.
No, Panasonic MC-CG902 does not suck as powerfully as the upright. But there is no getting around that with a canister vacuum. I have mostly bare floors, so this is actually a plus. I can see why other people would find it problematic, but it works fine on my big, thick area rug.

Very easy to use, and gets underneath my furniture so i don't have to do much moving. Cord seems long enough, and is retractable. This Panasonic MC-CG902 Full Size Bag Canister Vacuum Cleaner with HEPA Filter product earned 352 customer reviews and 82% are satisfied (as 17/01/2014). I love this vacuum, and compared to Miele, it was a fraction of cost.
