The Shark Navigator NV501 Elite Bagless Upright is a great product in short. We had just moved into a house our old upright gave the you know. So we went a couple weeks without while I researched the available products on the market. I almost got sold on a dyson at costco on our weekly weekend run. So glad I didn't got a better vaccum for $100 less.

It's great because it goes far under furniture and the attachment is good for our kitchen floors and hardwoods. It doesn't leave a weird vacuum smell in the air, either. If you have hardwoods and rugs/carpet, this is a great choice. Very powerful. I don't really understand the extra base they give you, as it's just as easy to pull the vac around with the original base.
